Archive Citizens Movement of Enviromental Library Grosshennersdorf

The Großhennersdorf environmental library, founded in 1987, and its accompanying Civic Movement Archive stand as a testament to the opposition in the GDR occurring outside of large urban areas. Due to its proximity to both Poland, and the ČSSR, transnational influences are readily visible.

Archive Song and Social Movements

The Berlin Archive "Song and Social Movements" collects reports from the GDR singer- and songwriter movement from the 1960s onwards. The materials that are managed by a non-profit organization show how difficult it can be to investigate cultural opposition between the extremes of supporting and opposing the state.

Archive of László Beke

As an art historian and curator, László Beke took an active role as both a participant and theoretician in the development of the Hungarian neo–avant-garde movements that had been marginalized by the cultural politics of the time in Hungary. Beke’s private archive, which is kept at the Budapest City Archives, provides a precise imprint of his activities: instead of working from the perspective of a critic, he engaged the artists as a partner. In this spirit he initiated many exhibitions and projects, the documents of which provide the backbone of the archive, complemented with the outcome of his systematic collecting activities that began in his early teens.

Archive of Pál Deim

The archive comprises of artworks, documents and the library of Pál Deim, an outstanding representative of Hungarian neo-avantgarde art emerging in the sixties. Deim was active in a great variety of genres, was co-founder of a number of art institutions and, alongside other members of his generation, challenged the socialist realist aesthetic principles of the Kádár regime.

Archive of Student Cultural Center

Studentski kulturni centar (SKC) predstavlja jednu od najznačajnijih ustanova kulture u Beogradu, ali i šire. Osnovan je i počeo je sa radom 1971, kao mesto koje je za cilj imalo okupljanje beogradskih studenata i mladih jugoslovenskih umetnika.

Igrao je važno mesto u omladinskoj kulturi Jugoslavije 1970-ih i 1980-ih godina. SKC arhiv poseduje bogate zbirke pisanih i vizuelnih materijala iz doba socijalističke Jugoslavije i nezaobilazno je mesto za proučavanje kulturno-umetničke scene u doba socijalizma.
