Event (general): Foundation of the Commission on Religious Matters of the Vinkovci Municipal Assembly, 1963

Under the Constitution of Socialist Republic of Croatia in 1963, the new territorial division of Socialist Republic of Croatia was introduced. The Vinkovci Municipality with its surroundings was established on that occasion. The Assembly of Vinkovci Municipality founded the Commission on Religious Matters, whose activities are recorded in its collection, which is a part of the Vinkovci Municipal Assembly archival fund.

Čestmír Pechr: Mlyn, 1965, papier, tlač, 85 x 61 cm - UP P 2122

Graphic designer and scenographer Čestmír Pechr (1926 - 1999) had for 30 years actively shaped the look and design of Slovak National Theatre. His primary medium was the theartical poster. The author of the play Windmill (Mlyn 1963) was Zdeněk Mahler, a Czech musicologist, who sharply criticized the Soviet Union after 1968 and was an active participant in the Velvet Revolution.

Foksal Gallery established, event, 1966

"Galeria Foksal" was founded in 1966 in Warsaw and co-created by art critics and artists with an interest in avant-garde art. It exhibited audiovisual installations, environments and other forms of conceptual art which broke with the traditional forms of painting and sculpture. However, the artists involved in the gallery were first and foremost among the pioneers of action art and happening. Due to their innovative character, many of these activities are now considered to be among the milestones of Polish modern art.

Founders of the gallery included critics Wiesław Borowski, Anka Ptaszkowska, and Mariusz Tchorek, as well as artists Henryk Stażewski, Zbigniew Gostomski, Edward Krasiński, and Roman Owidzki. Soon, Tadeusz Kantor joined the group of permanent collaborators. From the very beginning, the activities of the gallery and the artistic life of the circle of people involved in it were documented by two of the most acclaimed Polish photographers – Eustachy Kossakowski and Tadeusz Rolke.
